Your situation sounds different. Your oldest sounds like the door removal was in direct consequence for locking out her sister which is was what she used her door for. According to Rudolph Dreikurs (and possibly Carl Jung) that was a logical consequence. This author's parent randomly chose a consequence that had nothing to do with the behaviour he tried to correct.
