Have you ever written a limerick? That fun-filled, five-line poem that’s filled with humour. It’s poetry that follows an a,a,b,b,a pattern.

Day Five prompt: Write a humorous poem about chocolate, cheese or cheerios.

You asked, and I answered.

Here are my limericks.

If you think blue cheese causes B.O.
Instead, feed your kid Cheerios.
Both are good for your soul,
So come on, grab a bowl,
Your teeth will thank you, and so will your nose.

Grab your hot chocolate, sit by the fire,
Your diet’s beginning to tire.
But don’t fret and frown,
Or let your guard down,
Just because your scale calls you a liar.

As food prices continue to soar,
And you find you buy less but want more.
If the chocolate’s too high,
And you ask yourself why,
Why not boycott the grocery store?
