The thing is I honestly had never read his and I'm starting to feel very frustrated at how often I come up with what I feel is original only to see someone else has either already written it (or very similar) before or after me. I don't want to look like a copy cat because I'm really coming up with this stuff on my own.

I'm going to try to write this from a different angle so now I'm basically starting from scratch again. Oh well, it's all in the learning, right?
