KEELEY’S APRIL 30-DAY CHALLENGE
Love Is Something Money Can’t Buy
But it abounds.
Day Twenty-Four prompt: What is something you can’t live without?
Ask a grieving person this question, and the lost loved one comes to mind. But the question doesn’t ask who you can’t live without; it asks what. That is a whole different pile of cat shit.
I’d like to say it’s my car, but I’ve already written a story about that for another prompt, and after talking about climate change a couple of days ago, talking about driving a vehicle that’s negatively affecting the planet doesn’t sound right.
There are many other things I can’t live without, too. I can’t live without my microwave, toothpaste, television, or orthopedic pillow. But none of these are inspiring, nor do they help me out of my funk.
So, let’s talk about love. It’s something I can’t imagine not having in my life. Whether we’re speaking of a love for or a love from others, there’s nothing else like it. I’m blessed with many special people in my life. Everyone deserves love, and if we search hard enough, we’ll find it’s rarely far away, even for people who have difficulty receiving it. After all, let’s not forget about self-love.
