I'm sorry Michael that I hit a nerve. I suspect if you didn't have a friend whose suffered severely from being hit by a car, you could possibly find my sarcasm amusing. That's what sarcasm is, not reality but a play on an issue. Of course, I didn't want to hurt him or to put my inconvenience in the same category as causing him true misery, but he did piss me off and open letters are a venue to express it.

Perhaps if you looked at other open letters that are just as sarcastic but that don't touch a personal nerve for you and that you therefore find amusing, you'll see that mine is no better or worse.
