I used to have a cat (yet to be written about) who would place her paw on my hand while we slept.

…jumped up and walked up to my left side. I pulled back the covers and stretched out my arm for her. She did exactly two circles, laid with her back against me, and put her front paws across my upper arm. My part was to fold my arms around her and we drifted off to sleep together.
