I think the whole thing is ridiculous. Bad behaviour is bad behaviour no matter what it's called and assigning it to some random name diminishes it. When I hear someone use the name in that context or uses it in a Medium story, I roll my eyes and look down on them. If that makes me a Karen, so be it.
