I think my problem was seeing my grandparents stay together in a long marriage without recognizing it wasn't all milk and honey. Then seeing my parents divorce and not recognizing what parts were good. My point is that no relationship is perfect so one needs to think hard about staying rather than leaving and doing the work to find your perfect in the one you have.
