I once ordered a folding table on Facebook. Silly me. I paid over $100, and of course, the darn thing never came. It never occurred to me that they could have stolen my identity, but fortunately, no false purchases appeared on my credit card after that and eventually I had to change my card for a different reason. I ordered a jacket for Ed on Facebook and the darn ugly jacket was so falsely advertised. So was I scammed? Not in the sense you mean, but I won't order from Facebook ads anymore.
