I didn't feel your article was a rant at all. Sticking up for yourself and finding your voice is motivating and inspirational for others. Your article teaches irresponsible dog owners the other side to their inconsiderate behaviours. Not that they'll listen, but your article has the potential to educate, rather than be considered a rant.
