Hey, lady. Is your time more important than my health?

While at the grocery store today, this question popped into my mind as I pondered which steak was leaner than the next.

I hadn’t been at the fridge long, but apparently, it was too long for another customer’s liking.

Without a care, she stood close by, neglecting all social distancing protocols to make her beefy selection.

Did I have a right to say something?

After all, I was there first, but is there a time limit on browsing? What is proper shopping etiquette?

It all boils down to a battle of egos. I could have stepped aside — been the better person and shown some consideration for her impatience. But nobody was going to make me a pushover, so I stood firm.

Then, kindness appeared, respectfully, moving me out of her way.
