From Pharmaceuticals to Marijuana, Are We Out of Our Minds?
Let’s get one thing straight.
I stand on the side of the law.
As a Canadian, when asked should marijuana be legalized, we’re not discussing a future event. In our great country, the drug is already legal, but the question remains, should it be?
I do not partake in using marijuana in any form: not by ingestion, absorption, or smoky consumption. I don’t like how it makes me feel, so why waste the money on it or screw with my head?
I’m not offended by those who smoke weed because I know many who use it medically. These users become better people, and I’m the first to fight for their rights, but then there are the abusers. These people are so overcome with the effects of the drug they can hardly move, work, or carry on a civil conversation. Forgive me for judging, but I don’t respect those whose lives aren’t enhanced by marijuana to become functioning citizens and who, instead, decide to indulge and live on government assistance. I recognize there are often mitigating factors, but that’s for another time.
