Day Nine prompt: Bucket List of Things I’d Never Want to Do

Just as important as it is to dream about things we’d like to do before we die is the flip side — things I’d never want to do. My list came easily.

  1. Get too fat to fit into a coffin, so I end up cremated. This answer was inspired by the cremation of our cat and an article by NancyO that she’d never want to die from a preventable illness.

2. I want to live fancy-free, not garlic-free. They say people can outgrow allergies, but what about sensitivities? I remain hopeful.

3. Fall for a scammer. I have enough trouble managing my money without having a scammer manage it for me by taking it all.

4. Drown in my bathtub. Enough said.

5. Write a world’s fictional worst-seller. It’s hard honing my skills to produce a great opus. It may or may not happen, but as much as I’m chasing fame, I don’t want it to be because I’ve failed miserably.

6. Leave a sex toy for my children to find. They say it’s difficult for our children to scrounge through our belongings when we die. I can’t imagine them finding unmentionables along the way.
