Day Twenty-Nine: What Your 5 Most Recent Emojis Say About Your Life Right Now?
Apparently, I’m old school.
Phew, I almost had to miss this question because since I’m technically challenged, I didn’t know where to find emojis on Medium. That’s until Bernie helped me, and now I can’t stop. But unfortunately, Medium doesn’t offer many options, so we keep seeing the same emojis used by all.
I thought I was joining the cool crowd, offering many 😂😂😂 to my comments, but according to Keeley Schroder, I’m showing my age — by leaps and bounds — because the cool kids deem even the Millennials old-fashioned for using them. And I ain’t no Millennial, so what does that say about me?
Aside from Medium, I have used emojis on Facebook. Most often, when sending my friends “Happy Birthday wishes.” How boring am I by using a birthday cake 🎂, a piece of strawberry shortcake 🍰, and a heart ❤️ to show my love? It’s not only I’m caring, but I’m lazy. I’m disinterested in sifting through countless available emojis to find the perfect fit for everyone. My heart 💖 is in the right place, and perhaps that’s why it’s one of my favourites.
