As people age and develop hearing loss, they often feel as if my low volume when speaking is to annoy them. Of course, it's not. I just hate when everyone hears what I'm saying because they don't keep their judgment to themselves. Hence, I need to remember to speak up around those who struggle to hear to not add to their hardship.
