Karen Schwartz is a certified early childhood educator and former preschool clown who entertained children through cooperative games until 1993. Years later, she switched careers to work with adults dealing with severe mental health challenges through her role in Human Resources.
Her works include personal essays, fictional short stories, and poetry, which have appeared in anthologies and chapbooks. Her first poetry book, "Precious Love," currently out of print.
With a desire to educate and entertain young readers, writing children’s picture books continues to be her dream.
She is a wife, mother, grandmother, and pet mom to Huey, a feline rescue who self-nominated to become her muse.
