When I began writing again in 2021 after a hiatus, I dreamed of becoming a published children’s picture book author. Now that I had grandchildren, it seemed like the logical thing to do. But I didn’t want to be just any famed author that parents and kids gravitated toward reading. I wanted to be the modern-day Robert Munsch. How hard could that be?
Of course, I was joking. That man has crazy talent. His books are age-appropriate and extremely funny, and he has a talent for delighting parents, too.
Many years ago, I was studying for my Early Childhood Education diploma, and our class joined a small conference. As part of the meeting, the instructor read “Love You Forever” by Robert Munsch to the attending students and teachers.
