A backwards story — Part three

I love spending time with my husband, Ed. While many couples can’t wait to do their own thing, during times of leisure, we prefer not to spend it apart.

I suspect if we both worked from home this would be an entirely different story but sitting together enjoying a cozy supper makes our evenings seem complete.

I love how he helps me clean the kitchen — I wash, while he dries — my perfect combination, but in a few weeks, we are getting a dishwasher and our domestic jobs will be obsolete.

I wonder what we’ll do instead with our spare time. It sounds like a good time to pick up a new hobby we can work on together.

It’s our anniversary soon. It’s the day we’ll reflect on the years we’ve spent together.

Being with each other never gets old. Only we do.
